L.C. Spoering has a degree in English writing from University of Colorado, and a lesser degree in sarcasm earned from the days of yore on AOL. A storyteller since she started talking, she now spends her days writing, reading and contemplating the universe through various pop culture lenses.

Her work has appeared in The Dying Goose, as well as several anthologies released with Cleis Press, LadyLit Publishing, and Seal Press. Her story, “Closing Time” placed third in the 2013 Better Sex Erotic Fiction Contest: Female Fantasies.

A native of Denver, she lives with her husband, 2 children and entirely too many pets. Her favorite writers include Jeffery Eugenides, Margaret Atwood, Michael Chabon, and Jane Austen; her musical tastes run the gamut from John Mayer to Ingrid Michaelson, Radiohead to Death Cab for Cutie.
